AUM

(Assets Under Management)

AUM (Assets Under Management) refers to the total market value of investments managed by a financial institution or investment advisor on behalf of clients. This key metric helps evaluate the size and performance of investment firms.

AUM includes all capital invested in mutual funds,
ETFs, hedge funds, and other investment vehicles. The figure fluctuates daily with market movements and client deposits/withdrawals. As of 2023, the global AUM surpassed $100 trillion, with BlackRock leading at over $9 trillion. Financial professionals often use AUM to calculate management fees, typically ranging from 0.5% to 2% annually.
